      Dr. Saah has been broadly trained as an environmental scientist with expertise in a number of areas, including landscape ecology, ecosystem ecology, hydrology, geomorphology, ecosystem modeling, natural hazard modeling, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS) and geospatial analysis. He has used these skills to conduct research primarily at the landscape level in a variety of systems.

In the Climate Change and Climate Risk Management department he analyzes the vulnerability and impacts in different sectors, generates and prepares advance warnings, and develops adaptation strategies and identification of risk management opportunities to address residual risk.

                Nirmala works for SERVIR-Mekong as a monitoring & evaluation specialist. Previously, Nirmala was part of the Disaster Risk Assessment and Monitoring department and the Urban Disaster Risk Management team. Prior to joining ADPC in 2007, Nirmala worked as district engineer for Reconstruction and development agency (RADA) in three large districts in Sri Lanka.
