SERVIR Support Team

The SERVIR and Climate Services Support Activity builds on the primary objective of the SERVIR program to sustain the integration of Earth observation information and geospatial technologies in development decision-making, and seeks to improve USAID’s communication of program results and impacts, facilitate reliable access to SERVIR’s online data and tools, and provide technical assistance to hubs and in-region partners.

Quintela, Chief of Party for SERVIR and Climate Services Support Activity, is a senior project manager and environmental policy specialist with experience managing donor-funded regional and national environmental initiatives in Latin America and Africa.       Dr. Steve Zebiak

      CSRD Global Partnership Coordinator

      Dr. Steve Zebiak, CSRD Global Partnership Coordinator for SERVIR and Climate Services Support Activity, assumes this role following many years working in climate research, and over a decade working in climate applications and climate services. He has served as Director-General of the International Research Institute for Climate and Society and as Head of the International Secretariat of the Climate Services Partnership.

        Communications Lead

        Devrin Weiss, Communications Lead for SERVIR and Climate Services Support Activity, has more than 18 years of experience working in strategic communications for the World Bank and USAID in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Iraq, and South Sudan. He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental policy from the University of California – Santa Cruz and a master’s in international relations from American University.

He has supported various USAID-funded projects mostly working to address environmental concerns

            Zoltan Milić, Monitoring and Impact Evaluation Specialist for SERVIR and Climate Services Support Activity, has worked on monitoring and evaluation for USAID projects for nearly 10 years. When he's not working, he helps stray animals, amuses his nephews, plays guitar, and keeps his dog happy.

                Alex Russell, Grants and Operations Manager for SERVIR and Climate Services Support Activity, is an international development professional with more than five years of experience in supporting complex grants portfolios. He has previously worked on a variety of projects based in the Middle East, North Africa and Afghanistan. Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Middle Eastern Studies from Northwestern University.

He is an accomplished outdoorsman, a former Division I soccer player, and very proud of his Scottish heritage.
